Benefits of Betel Leaf

Betel leaf is very common in South and Southeast Asia. Some great and important benefits of consuming betel leaves that are useful for Children and Women are:

  1. Betel leaf is highly useful in reliving any type of stomach problems. One common method is to take in the form of juice. Grind betel leaves (2-3), Ajwain or Carom Seeds, salt and water.Preferably it should be taken take before meal.
  2. Helps in relieving constipation in children - a suppository made of the betel leaf stem dipped in castor oil can be introduced in the rectum carefully. This method will instantly relieves constipation.
  3. Lactating mothers can chew betel leave with a pinch of lime(Chemical Name - Calcium Carbonate that is commercially available). Betel leaves is a good iron supplement.
